Just off the east coast of Davao is a quaint beach resort
called Costa Marina located at Caliclic, Babak District, Island
Garden City of Samal. A shady and restful resort right in
between Paradise Beach Resort and Blue Waters.
For about 15 minutes of boat ride at less than or more than
Php10 per head, you’re off to the beach with a great
view of the city. The place is just one of the resorts along
the strip of the Samal Island Garden but according to the
locals, it is one of the two most frequented beaches by The
Davaoeños.
It can be accessed by a short boat ride through Sasa dock
area (the same as Paradise dock). The crew can help you especially
if you have a lot of baggages. The expansive gray-sand beach
is shaded by trees stretching from end to end.
Amenities
You can practically go there, take a quick dip, have lunch
and go back home in less than two hours. The place is shady,
with patches of white sand here and there. Costa Marina is
best for day tours. You can feel privacy and space as the
shore lines are separated by rocks and trees, giving it the
feel of “owning” your part of the beach.
